World HSP Day | 17 October 2026

World HSP Day |* making HSP visible together*

On Saturday, 17 October 2026, it is World HSP Day. On this day, people with HSP and PLS, families, researchers, healthcare professionals and organisations around the world come together to raise awareness of these rare neurological conditions.

There is currently no treatment that can stop the progression of HSP or PLS. Greater awareness, international collaboration and scientific research are therefore urgently needed. Every step counts. You can help, but so can your family and friends.

Together in the Netherlands and around the world

World HSP Day does not stand alone. From 16 to 18 October 2026, the international EURO-HSP Congress will also take place in the Netherlands. HSP organisations, patients, researchers and others involved will come together from different countries to share knowledge and strengthen international collaboration around HSP. EURO-HSP confirms that World HSP Day in 2026 will be combined with the annual EURO-HSP Convention, organised by Life4HSP.
